After many years in accountancy and starting a family I felt the need for a change of career. For as long as I can remember I have always loved gardening, cooking and craft activities and for the last 7 years have been very interested in the versatility of Herbs; how they can be used in all of the aforementioned pastimes. I joined the Herb Society and also the Hertfordshire Herb Group in the year 2000 after completing a one year course on herbs at the Horticultural Correspondence College.

My main aim in creating this website is to provide useful information for those of you wanting to find out more about how to grow herbs and use them in cooking, to enhance your health and lots of other wonderful and creative ways.

I have attended various courses and workshops but often had to search around a lot on the internet to find out where and when a suitable course was taking place this led me to create the Events page which I hope you will find useful. If you would like your event added to the listing please contact me.

I attend a few fairs in the spring and summer where I sell some of the more unusual herb plants. To find out when these are click in the yellow box to the top right of this page to receive a free fortnightly newsletter plus a copy of a free ebook '7 Everyday Herbs Made Simple' which gives the culinary uses for 7 easily available herbs plus their reported health benefits.

Any topic requests or volunteers for giving feedback or testing any new products would be welcomed. Just click here to e-mail.

I hope you enjoy the website.

Happy Herbing!

Madeleine
